Most people send mail to multiple addresses incorrectly. We have all received mail that has several addresses in the "TO" field. Not only is it un-professional, it also gives the recepient everyone's address. Imagine mailing out a newsletter to all your client's and giving each client your entire database of customers !!!
The correct way is to send a "Blind Carbon Copy" ( Bcc ) to your group of email addresses. Often this option is not always available when you open the "New Message" dialogue screen as Microsoft does not set this facility as default.
To display the Bcc field in your compose/new message screen, click on "View" on the Menu bar and select "All Headers". This will put a tick beside it and display the Bcc field
Now here is the trick !!! In the "To:" field put your OWN address in there.
In the "Bcc:" field select the group (or manually selected address) that you would like the email to go to. To add e-mail names from the Address Book, click the book icon in the New Message window next to To, Cc, and Bcc, and then select names.
In this example we are sending the email to "Test Group" that we created earlier.
Yes - you will receive the email back in your "Inbox" after all we have sent it to ourselves. However each member of the group will not see who we have sent it to. In this example when each member receives the email, the FROM line will read PC Win Systems (your address) and the TO line will read PC Win Systems (your address)
